The Prevail team brings decades of experience, drawn from projects with leaders across regions as varied as the Balkans, Ukraine, Russia, the Caucuses, the Baltics, the Middle East, South and South-East Asia, and the United States. Prevail currently advises a major government on strategic communications on behalf of the UK Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office.
Since 2001, Whit Mason has drawn on a rare combination of experience in government, the military, the United Nations, journalism, and academia to advise senior leaders in conflict and post-conflict settings across the world. In 2014, amidst the first Russian invasion of Ukraine, Whit persuaded the Government in Kyiv to transform the way it managed public communications. At the urging of the UK Foreign Office, Whit founded a company, Mason Change Communications, to help Ukraine deliver that change. Along with a brilliant team of experts, for the past eleven years he has been helping governments, militaries and other organisations to advance their agendas through strategic and change communications.
In 2025, Mason Change Communications became Prevail Communications Advisors and brought on board a new Principal, Stacia Philips. As well as working for the UN, Stacia has been a transformative leader in broadcast media, working at CBS News, CNN and finishing her career in journalism as Executive Vice-President of News at ABC News, the US’s #1 rated network news organisation.
